Who would’ve thought that one of favorite lines this year would be from a campaign by the Sanitation Foundation?

“Don’t do NYC dirty” is clever and cute, and most importantly it feels culturally specific. I mean, which other city could’ve pulled this off without sounding awkward and ridiculous? Here, it works.

Now, I know there have been mixed reactions (yah I plumb the depths of Reddit threads, sue me for due diligence 💁🏾‍♂️ ). I also know we shall never forgive or forget the million-dollar answer to the city’s filth problem being trash cans (bombastic side eye to all involved).

But this work, by itself? Gotta tip my hat to Arnold Worldwide NY, I like it a whole lot. You?
