Give it a rest—the em dash nonsense
If I see another “if there’s an em dash then AI wrote it” LinkedIn post, I am going to barf.
Enough. Please. It’s lazy and boring and if I had hair I would be pulling it out.
While we’re at it, let’s just retire all the LinkedIn posts that are bulleted lists of how to spot AI-generated content. I still haven’t read one that isn’t riddled with logic gaps—I literally just saw one that said polished writing is a red flag?!? 🤦🏾♂️ LinkedIn influencers, are you lot okay?)—and, like I mentioned, also lazy and boring.
Instead, perhaps we can have some considered discussions about what happens when human-written stuff is flagged as AI-generated? Maybe some coherent ideas on the muddy ethics around AI? I’ll even take arguments for why AI should replace human creatives entirely. Tell me something helpful or at least interesting.
Just no more of this insipid “this is how to spot AI” drivel.
Please and thanks.
And you’re welcome.
